How calm is your life? Are you intentionally cultivating calm? Or is your anxiety owning your day? In this episode I am joined by a colleague Katie Thomson Aitken, a naturopathic Doctor Who has focussed exclusively on anxiety. Katie walks us through the five pillars of health to support anxiety and to reduce symptoms in patients who feel that their anxiety is controlling their life. We talk about how to cultivate calm in your daily life, and the basic lab tests that patients need if they are experiencing anxiety. They talk about anxiety specifically in women, and how women can advocate for the support they need from their healthcare providers. We talk about the difference between a medication-only strategy versus a holistic approach to anxiety management.

Katie offers an online program called tranquil minds and has recently published her signature strategy for resolving anxiety in a book available on Amazon.
